Our Story
pyp-Net was born from a simple observation: we realized we could do this better.
Farming IoT by farmers, for farmers. We understand the struggles because we live them - the endless drives between pivots, the wasted time checking equipment that could be monitored remotely, the frustration of discovering problems too late.
Our breakthrough came when we discovered that LoRaWAN technology, while widely used in smart cities, was virtually unknown in African agriculture. We saw an opportunity to bring enterprise-grade monitoring to family farms at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.
Today, pyp-Net serves farms across South Africa, from the maize fields of Mpumalanga to the citrus orchards of the Western Cape. Our modular approach means farmers can start with basic monitoring and gradually add control capabilities, weather integration, and even AI-powered irrigation scheduling.
We're not just building technology - we're building the future of sustainable agriculture in Africa, one pivot at a time.
